Ingredients
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup white sugar
– 1 cup brown sugar, packed
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 cups chocolate chips
– 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line baking trays with parchment paper.
2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared trays. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
