Ingredients
– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 cup of sugar
– 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup of chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
– 1/4 cup of milk
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish or line it with baking paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
