Ingredients
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
– 1 tablespoon vinegar
Method
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Pour in the chopped tomatoes, then add oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
5. Simmer for 15 minutes, then stir in the fresh basil and vinegar before serving.
