Ingredients
250 g unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
5. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking tray, leaving space between each. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
