Ingredients
– 1 cup of rice
– 2 cups of water
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 carrot, diced
– 1 cup of frozen peas
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
Method
1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a pot, combine the rice and water, then bring it to a boil over medium heat.
3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
4. While the rice cooks, heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant and soft.
5. Add the carrot and peas to the pan. Stir for a few minutes before adding the cooked rice, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and heat through.
