Ingredients
– 1 cup butter, softened
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 2 cups chocolate chips
– 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
