Toffee Recipe

Ingredients
250 g unsalted butter
250 g brown sugar
250 g granulated sugar
1/2 cup golden syrup
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Method
Combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan.
Stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the butter has melted.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for about 15 minutes until it becomes a rich caramel color.
Add salt, vanilla extract, baking soda, and cream of tartar, and mix well.
Pour the toffee into a greased tray and let it cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
