Ingredients

Method
1. Place the sliced strawberries in a medium saucepan.
2. Add sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt to the strawberries.
3. Heat the mixture over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves and strawberries soften.
4. Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
5. Remove from the heat and let it cool before using.
