Ingredients
– 2 cups dried pinto beans
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1 teaspoon salt

– 4 cups water
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 lime, juiced
Method
1. Rinse the dried beans in cold water and remove any debris.
2. Add the beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and water to the slow cooker.
3. Stir in the olive oil and cover the cooker. Set it on low heat and let it cook for 8 hours.
4. After cooking, mash the beans with a potato masher to your desired consistency.
5. Finally, mix in the lime juice for added flavor.
