Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (about 40°C)

Method

  1. Mix flour, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and stir until no dry bits remain.
  3. Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let it sit for 12 to 18 hours at room temperature.
  4. Once the dough is ready, preheat the oven to 220°C. Place a Dutch oven or heavy pot inside to heat up.
  5. Carefully remove the pot, place the dough inside, cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
