Ingredients
– 500 g minced beef
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 240 ml tomato sauce
– 120 ml water
– 60 ml Worcestershire sauce
– 60 g brown sugar
– 1 tsp mustard powder
– 1 tsp chilli powder
– 4 hamburger buns
Method
1. Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add the minced beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion becomes soft.
2. Pour in the tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard powder, and chilli powder. Stir to mix everything together.
3. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
4. After cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes. Then, switch the valve to venting to release any remaining pressure.
5. Open the lid carefully. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the hamburger buns and serve.
