Pickled Jalapeños Recipe
Ingredients
250 ml white vinegar
125 ml water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 fresh jalapeños
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon black peppercorns
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 small onion
Method
1. Start by slicing the jalapeños into rings. Wear gloves to avoid touching your eyes.
2. Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a pot. Heat this mixture over medium heat until it simmers.
3. After that, add garlic, oregano, black peppercorns, and cumin seeds to the mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Pack the sliced jalapeños and chopped onion into a clean jar. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over them, ensuring they are fully submerged.
5. Allow the jar to cool to room temperature before sealing it. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
