Easy Homemade Grissini: Perfectly Crispy Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients
250 ml warm water
2 ¼ tsp dry yeast
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
500 g all-purpose flour
30 ml olive oil
Sesame seeds (for topping)
Coarse sea salt (for topping)

Method
Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for 10 minutes until it foams.
In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it’s smooth.
Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough thinly, cut it into strips, and place them on a baking tray. Sprinkle sesame seeds and coarse salt on top. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
