Easy Homemade Eggless Fish Sticks: A Tasty Family Recipe

Ingredients

– 450 g firm tofu
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 cup cornmeal
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 240 ml plant milk
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method

1. First, preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Next, cut the tofu into stick shapes and drain any excess moisture.
3. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir your mixture until it’s evenly mixed.
4. Dip each tofu stick in plant milk before coating it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure all sides are covered well.
5. Place the coated tofu sticks on the baking tray and drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
