Ingredients
– 340 g fresh cranberries
– 200 g granulated sugar
– 180 ml water
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
– a pinch of salt
Method
1. Begin by rinsing the cranberries under cold water. Remove any that are damaged or soft.
2. Pour water into a saucepan and add the sugar. Stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
3. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the cranberries to the saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat.
4. Allow the cranberries to simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally until most cranberries pop open.
5. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool before serving.
