Ingredients

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until combined. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
5. Scoop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
