Ingredients
– 500 g pasta
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 400 g canned tomatoes
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 100 g grated cheese
Method
1. Boil a large pot of water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain when ready.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in canned tomatoes and add oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper.
4. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Combine the drained pasta with the sauce. Sprinkle cheese on top before serving.
