Method
- Combine maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a medium saucepan.
- Heat over medium until the mixture begins to simmer, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add it to the saucepan.
- Cook sauce for a few more minutes until it thickens, stirring constantly.
- Drizzle sesame oil before serving to enhance the flavor.
