Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna sheets
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until soft.
  3. Add the minced beef and cook until browned. Stir in the diced tomatoes and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the beef mixture in a baking dish. Layer three lasagna sheets on top, followed by ricotta and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
