Ingredients
300 g pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
400 g canned tomatoes
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Parmesan cheese, for serving

Method
Boil a large pot of water and add the pasta. Cook until al dente, usually around 8 to 10 minutes.

While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Stir in canned tomatoes, dried oregano, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.

Once the pasta is ready, drain it using a colander. Then combine the pasta with the sauce. Toss well to coat every piece.

Serve hot, topped with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese.
