Ingredients
– 1 cup plain flour
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup milk
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/2 cup chocolate chips
– Icing sugar for dusting
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking dish with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
