Delicious Yogurt Lamb Curry Recipe: A Flavorful Indian Delight

Ingredients

– 500 g lamb, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 2 cups plain yogurt
– 2 tablespoons cooking oil
– 1 large onion, chopped
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
– 2 teaspoons curry powder
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup water

Method

1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it turns golden brown.
2. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
3. Add the lamb pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides.
4. Sprinkle the curry powder, turmeric, and salt over the lamb, and stir well. Mix in the yogurt and water.
5. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes, or until the lamb is tender.
