Ingredients
- 200 g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Beat the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
