Ingredients
– 100g dark chocolate
– 100g butter
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 3 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 60ml whiskey
– ½ teaspoon salt
– ½ teaspoon baking powder
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish that is about 20cm square.
2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth, then remove from heat.
3. Whisk in brown sugar, followed by eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
4. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture.
5. Stir in the pecans and whiskey, then pour everything into the baking dish. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until set.
