Delicious Wheat Laddoos: Authentic Churmundo Recipe In Konkani

Wheat Laddoos (Churmundo)

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup grated coconut, fresh or desiccated
1 cup jaggery, grated or powdered
1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews or almonds)
1/4 cup raisins

Method
1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the whole wheat flour to the pan and slowly roast until it turns golden brown. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
2. Mix in the grated coconut and continue to roast for a few more minutes. The coconut should become lightly toasted but not browned.
3. Now, add jaggery and mix well. Cook until the jaggery melts completely, stirring frequently so everything blends together nicely.
4. Sprinkle in cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and raisins. Combine everything evenly and remove from heat.
5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Once it is cool enough to handle, shape it into small balls (laddoos) with your hands.
