Delicious Vegan Chickpea Patties Recipe For Healthy Meals

Ingredients

  • 400 g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method

1. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until mostly smooth.
2. Add the breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, garlic, cumin, and smoked paprika to the chickpeas.
3. Season with salt and pepper, then mix everything together until combined.
4. Shape the mixture into patties, about the size of your palm.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
