Ingredients
– 450 g firm tofu
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Burger buns and toppings of choice
Method
1. Start by draining the tofu and pressing it to remove excess moisture. Crumble the tofu into a large bowl.
2. Add the breadcrumbs, soy sauce, olive oil, onion, garlic, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the crumbled tofu. Mix everything well until combined.
3. Shape the mixture into burger patties. You can make about four patties from the mixture.
4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
5. Serve the tofu burgers on buns with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
