Delicious Tofu Bowl Recipe: Healthy And Flavorful Vegan Dish

Ingredients

– 400 g firm tofu
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 2 cups brown rice
– 4 cups water
– 2 cups mixed vegetables (like broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots)
– 1 avocado
– 2 green onions, sliced
– 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
– Hot sauce (optional)

Method

1. Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean towel and place something heavy on top for about 15 minutes.
2. While the tofu is pressing, rinse the brown rice under cold water. Combine it with water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
3. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
4. Stir in soy sauce and let it cook for another 2 minutes. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
5. Sauté the mixed vegetables in the same pan for about 5 minutes until tender. Serve the tofu and vegetables over the cooked rice, topped with avocado, green onions, sesame seeds, and hot sauce if desired.
