Tangy Spicy Chunky Pineapple Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup pineapple, diced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
1-2 green chilies, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Method
1. Start by chopping the pineapple into small pieces and finely dicing the onion. Set both aside.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the mustard seeds. Wait for them to start popping.
3. Add in the chopped onion, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté everything for a few minutes until the onion softens.
4. Stir in the diced pineapple, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, and turmeric. Mix well and let the chutney simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
5. Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool. Store in a jar and serve with your favorite dishes.
