Ingredients
6 large eggs
200 g sugar
100 ml milk
60 ml vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
150 g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar for dusting
Butter for greasing

Method
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Grease an 8-inch square cake pan with butter and line the bottom with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until they become thick and pale in color.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract into the egg mixture. Stir until well combined.
Sift the plain flour, baking powder, and salt directly into the bowl. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
