Delicious Swiss Chard Recipe: Nutritious And Easy To Make

Ingredients

– 1 bunch Swiss chard
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 lemon, juiced
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup toasted nuts (walnuts or almonds)

Method

1. Rinse the Swiss chard under cold water. Cut off the ends of the stems and chop the leaves and stems into bite-sized pieces.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Add the chopped Swiss chard stems to the pan. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften. Then add the leaves and cook until they wilt, around 3 more minutes.
4. Season the dish with salt, black pepper, and the juice of the lemon. Stir well to combine.
5. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and toasted nuts before serving.
