Delicious Swiss Chard Recipe: Healthy And Flavorful Dishes

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Swiss chard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)

Method

  1. Rinse the Swiss chard under running water to clean it. Shake off excess moisture.
  2. Chop the stems and leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Add the chopped chard stems first. Cook for about 3 minutes, then add the leaves. Stir until the leaves wilt.
  5. Stir in lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. If desired, add Parmesan and nuts before serving. Enjoy!
