Ingredients

500g ground beef
500g ground pork
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup dried breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Method

1. Combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
2. Mix ingredients until just combined. Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
3. Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides.
4. Once cooked, remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add some flour to make a roux for the sauce.
5. Gradually stir in water and simmer to create a smooth sauce. Return the meatballs to the skillet and cook for a few more minutes.
