Ingredients
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
– 500 g ground beef
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
– 250 ml water
Method
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in minced garlic, then mix in the ground beef. Cook until no longer pink.
4. Pour in diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, pepper, and water. Stir well.
5. Lower the heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. Add fresh basil just before serving.
