Ingredients
– 125 g softened butter
– 150 g sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 250 g plain flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– Optional: sprinkles or icing
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
4. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
5. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the baking tray. Add sprinkles or icing if you like. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
