Ingredients
- 250 g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup granulated sugar, for rolling
- Sprinkles or colored sugar (optional)
Method
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- In a bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into balls, then coat with sugar. Place them on the baking tray and add sprinkles if you like. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
