Ingredients
– 125 g butter, softened
– ¾ cup sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– Optional: sprinkles or icing sugar for decoration
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
3. Beat the egg and vanilla extract into the mixture until well combined.
4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet mix, stirring until a dough forms.
5. Roll the dough into small balls, place them on the baking tray, and flatten them slightly. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
