Delicious Stovetop Stuffed Shells Recipe: Quick And Easy Dinner

Ingredients

  • 250 g jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 g crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 200 g ricotta cheese
  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, and dried basil. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture. Place them in the sauce in the pan. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Cover and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
