Delicious Spinach And Millet Pulav Recipe For Healthy Eating

Ingredients

– 1 cup millet
– 2 cups water
– 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
– 1 tablespoon oil
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 onion, thinly sliced
– 1 carrot, diced
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1/2 cup peas

Method

1. Rinse millet under cold water and drain it well.
2. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Sauté them until they crackle.
3. Add sliced onion and cook until it turns golden brown. Then add carrots and peas. Stir for a few minutes.
4. Mix in the millet, salt, and turmeric powder. Pour in water and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat and cover the pot.
5. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until millet is tender. Stir in chopped spinach and let it wilt for a few minutes before serving.
