Ingredients
– 1 onion, chopped
– 1 carrot, diced
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 500g ground beef
– 400g canned tomatoes
– 2 tbsp tomato paste
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 300ml beef broth
– 300g spaghetti
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Start by heating a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, diced carrot, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
2. Next, add the ground beef to the pan. Stir it frequently, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it’s browned.
3. Pour in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth. Add the dried oregano, then season with salt and pepper. Stir everything together.
4. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 30 minutes. This helps all the flavors come together nicely.
5. While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain it when ready. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti.
