Ingredients
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 1/4 cup light brown sugar
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup light corn syrup
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish measuring approximately 20 cm x 30 cm.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
4. In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
5. Stir in the chopped pecans. Pour the mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
