Ingredients
- 1 cup of sourdough starter (active)
- 1/2 cup of warm milk
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Method
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and salt until combined.
- Stir in the flour gradually to form a dough. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise for 1 to 2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, then spread melted butter over the surface. Sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, and a bit of vanilla on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices. Arrange in a baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until golden.
