Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a bundt cake pan with butter.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, sour cream, melted butter, sugar, and eggs until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir this mixture into the banana mixture until just blended.
- Add vanilla extract and chopped nuts if using. Mix gently until nuts are evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool before removing from the pan.
