Ingredients
– 600 g round steak
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 cup sliced mushrooms
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 2 tablespoons cornflour
– 1 cup water
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Cut the round steak into chunks and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Place the seasoned meat in the slow cooker along with the mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the ingredients.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the meat is tender.
5. In a small bowl, mix cornflour with water. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes to thicken the gravy.
