Method
1. Start by rinsing the dried white beans and then placing them in a slow cooker.
2. Add diced ham, chopped onion, sliced carrots, and chopped celery to the pot.
3. Mix in minced garlic, chicken broth, dried thyme, and bay leaves.
4. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the beans are tender.
