Ingredients
– 500 g minced beef
– 500 g pork sausage
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 carrot, diced
– 1 celery stalk, diced
– 400 g crushed tomatoes
– 240 ml beef broth
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Begin by browning the minced beef and sausage in a pan over medium heat. Cook until it’s no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
2. Place the cooked meat into a slow cooker. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Sprinkle in dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.
4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir occasionally if possible.
5. Serve the ragu sauce over pasta or use it in another dish.
