Ingredients
4 slices of bread
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
2 tablespoons of ghee
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of chopped nuts (like almonds and pistachios)
A pinch of saffron (optional)
1/2 cup of whipped cream (optional)
Rose water (optional)
Method
Cut the bread slices into quarters.
Heat ghee in a pan and fry the bread pieces until golden brown.
Combine sugar and water in a separate pot and bring to a boil. Stir in cardamom powder and saffron.
Soak the fried bread pieces in the sugar syrup for a few seconds.
Arrange the soaked pieces on a plate and top them with nuts and whipped cream. Drizzle with rose water if desired.
