Ingredients
– 400 g of sausage meat
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 carrot, diced
– 1 celery stalk, diced
– 1 can (400 g) of diced tomatoes
– 1 litre of chicken broth
– 250 g of tortellini
– 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. In a large pot, brown the sausage over medium heat. Stir it often to make sure it cooks evenly.
2. Add the chopped onion, carrot, celery, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables become soft.
3. Pour in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Stir everything together.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the tortellini. Cook according to the package instructions.
5. Sprinkle in the Italian herbs, and season with salt and pepper before serving.
