Ingredients
– 500 g sausage meat
– 1 sheet puff pastry
– 1 egg
– 1 tbsp milk
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– 1 tsp dried herbs
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, onion, garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs until combined.
3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut it into two equal rectangles.
4. Spoon the sausage mixture along the center of each pastry rectangle. Fold the pastry over to enclose the filling and press the edges to seal.
5. Beat the egg with the milk and brush this mixture over the top of the pastry. Place on the baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
