Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 pack saltine crackers
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Line a baking tray with saltine crackers, covering the entire bottom.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter along with the brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until it boils, then let it boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour the hot mixture evenly over the crackers and bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Wait a few minutes for them to melt, then spread the melted chocolate evenly and add nuts if desired.
